varroa varroa varroa
The first of June and the hives I have seem spectacular. Really strong, growing fast, calm. I have medicated them 3 times since mid-May with powdered sugar dustings. I am considering using oxalic acid this year in addition the the sugar, maybe an application or two, to give them a fighting chance this winter. One hive is in Fairgrove, soon to be moving to Burt when the berry flowers stop. And I have 3 in Fostoria at the Oliver farm. One of them is a survivor. The survivor needs something, I'm not sure what. I can see they are faltering, maybe the queen needs to be replaced.
