Hope of Spring

I am cautiously optimistic. For the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country. I want to participate. I imagine a better world, unlike some fellow citizens who imagine Armegeddon and annihilation. I think there is another possibility.
I can't wait for the inaugural address. I have a spirit of cooperation, of service to my community. I am ready to end the selfish national nightmare. I am ready to work.
I am reminded of the winter solstice, the darkest day of the year. We don't mourn that day because it is darkest, we celebrate because the light is coming back. We know that winter has just begun and that there are months of cold winds and long nights ahead of us, but we celebrate the hope of spring.

Hi old friend...

I had a dream the other night and you were in it. You knew your way through the forest. It was pretty cool.
