What a great day. Woke up late with Chris....ate breakfast, put on our bee suits and
started harvesting honey. The bees were being nice and ornery like healthy bees are. When Chris had to leave for work, I started to develop a system.......brush frame, move to new box, then new box to car. And on and on. I drove 40 miles with bees buzzing all over the car. Nothing is better.
The weather was sunny and rainy all at the same time. Perfect. I started extracting at about 4 and finished the last bucket by 9:30. I was so tired and my belly so full of honey that on the drive home I was hallucinating. I feel so bright and exhausted. This feeling only comes on a day spent with the bees. It's the kind of work that makes me want to finish lunch and get right back to it. It's so honest and beautiful. And rewarding.
