I just read a story about a boy who "suffers" from ADHD. The symptoms mentioned were an inability to concentrate, impulsivity and increased motor activity. Ummm....this is a disease? The boy's mother said that if he saw a leaf fall, he would want to chase it. Whoa. So, a child wanting to chase a leaf has a disease with a name, but a child who wants to sit in front of some sort of screen all the time is....normal? Does anyone think there is a possibility of someone making up diseases in order to sell drugs?

When I first heard her, I was mesmerized. She spoke a new language I had never heard. I was hooked, I was in love. That was in 1996. By the summer of 2000, I was pretty sure our affair was over. The best years had passed me by.
But, here she comes again. I am tempted. I am cautiously delighted. I am dancing. Could this be a rekindling of my old flame? I hope so. Loyalty only goes so far. At some point there has to be a little passion, or a good thing will just fade.
If she will perform in this cold, dark corner of this god-forsaken country, then I will line up to see if there is hope for us left after all these years.
